Extra-time goals from Rafael Sóbis and Marcelo secured Brazil a place in the men’s football semi-finals in Beijing.
This was the first time Brazil had to fight for the result and the South Americans found it very tough going against a pacey and physical Cameroon side.
While Brazil’s performance still left a lot to be desired, it was an improvement on their showings in the group stage.
Dunga will be pleased that his side are making steady progress but Brazil face an either bigger challenge in the semis when they will take on either Argentina or the Netherlands.
