Brazil – Nilmar replaces Sóbis vs Chile and Bolivia

August 29, 2008

Internacional’s pacey forward Nilmar has been called up to replace the injured Rafael Sóbis for Brazil’s World Cup qualifying games against Chile and Bolivia in early September.

Sóbis was one of the few Brazilians to impress in Beijing this month and may swap Real Betis for the UAE’s Al-Jazira.

Nilmar has scored 11 goals for an Inter team that is currently midtable in the Brasileiro. The forward is being linked with a move to Zaragoza.

Brazil are away to Chile on September 7th and then three days later face Bolivia in Rio.
