Russian television has reported that Manchester United could be interested in signing CSKA’s Vágner Love next season.
The forward has already been connected with Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham who apparently made offers for the player.
“Until now, I haven’t received anything concrete. I know about the interest from Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea but this Manchester [United interest] is new. I can guarantee that I don’t know anything. I just saw the information on Russian TV”, the 25-year-old said.
Love (pronounced Lovey) joined CSKA from Palmeiras five years ago. The frontman has appeared 18 times for Brazil but is currently missing from Dunga’s squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Ecuador and Peru.

in his dreams, if i may say. vagner love is an okay striker but there is no way he is good enough to play for the world champions. i think he is lucky to have so many brasilian caps. okay player but nothing more than that. everton is a good idea.

What a load of tripe. He would barely get into the reserves. Why on earth would United want such a mediocre striker? If Tevez and/or Ronaldo leaves, go for the big guns, not a limited wannabe like Vagner Love.

Its a bold step for Love. He is a great striker to have in united.
He is a value for united.
United go for his before Chelsea will kidnap him

Spurs are connected to everyone simply because they have money to spend and Agents know this. Between now and when the transfer window closes in England at the end of August, Spurs are likely to have been connected to well over 100 players, all of whom have had “contact” with the club.
Personally, I can’t see Spurs doing the volume of business they’ve done in the last couple of seasons. they will probably look to offload 3-4 fringe players but only if Redknapp is convinced he can get better. Spurs are not a club that have to sell players regularly to survive. I can see Redknapp wanting a strong targetman, good with head and feet, to hold the ball up for Keane, Defoe etc. He also wants a new LB to give competion to or replace Ekotto and an AML. Bent or Pavlyuchenko could be the make weight in any such deal.

I’m inclined to agree with previous comments. Man Utd have a number of excellent young attackers who are nearly ready for the first team. If Fergie signs a ready-to-play striker they would have to be world class, which Vagner Love is not.
