Could it be 'Nice one Miranda. Nice one son'?
See Tottenham’s valuation of Miranda is ridiculous
According to reports in the Britain’s Daily Mail, Spurs are set to make a £7 million bid for São Paulo centreback, Miranda.
The 24-year-old has a good track record as he’s part of the squad that has won the Campeonato Brasileiro for the past three seasons. Miranda’s performances for the Morumbi club have also earned him a recent call-up to Brazil.
The defender has been one of the league champions most dependable players since his arrival from France’s Sochaux in 2006.
João Miranda de Souza Filho started his career at Coritiba before making the move to France.
When he arrived back in Brazil, he was something of an unknown quantity but has proved to be an excellent signing for São Paulo.
At 1.85m and 78kilos, Miranda is not the biggest or strongest of defenders. However, his positional sense is first rate and he rarely gets caught for pace.
São Paulo have produced some quality defenders over the past few years including
Alex Silva (Hamburg) and Breno (Bayer Munich).
