Is Dentinho good enough for Arsenal or Manchester United?

According to Dentinho’s agent, Ferhat Ciftci, the forward has his sights set on a move to England. “He wants to play in the Premier League,” Ciftci said. “It doesn’t make a difference if it is Arsenal or Manchester United”.

For obvious reasons, fans of the two teams may not agree. But the big question is does Dentinho have it in him to make it in England? And if he did come, where would he fit in better: Arsenal or United?

There’s no doubt that Dentinho has plenty of ability. Now in his third season as a professional, he’s also starting to demonstrate a greater degree of confidence on the ball and a willingness to run at the opposition.

Dentinho’s positional play has also improved and he’s popped up with some useful goals for Corinthians. While his scoring record this year has been nothing to write home about – just five (2 in the Campeonato Paulista and 3 in the Copa do Brasil) – he did put away 14 for Corinthians in their Série B campaign in 2008.

Dentinho’s lack of height and weight might count against him if he did make it to the Premier league. This, though, may not put off United or Arsenal who have already brought in ‘small’ players such as Nani and Cesc Fábregas.

But while Dentinho has got the makings of something special, he has yet to become a consistent performer and his scoring rate needs to improve.

For now, it might be better for the Premier League clubs to watch and wait to see how Dentinho develops over the next year, rather than splashing out big money for a player who might not quite be ready for the rigours of English football.

as an arsenal fan i’d love to have an exciting player like Dentinho at the Emirates, but we’v got an overload of strikers already…. Eddy, Rvp,Bendtner,Vela,Arshavin & Walcott. Also we’d to have to loan him to Salamanca as we did with Pedro for 3yrs(?).would Dentinho accept that?

Picato – Are Milan after Brazil’s leftback Santos?he impressed me against Italy. Leornardo is creating a mini-brazil at milan – they’v got Pato & their after Santos, Hernanes & Miranda. With Leonardo’s knowledge of the brazilian league they can pick some of the best talent out there. I’v got a feeling that Juve & Milan are going to well in the champions league nxt year, they’r building good teams.why cant milan play with proper wingers?

there are lots of rumours around right now but i wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of the players you mentioned ends up at Milan. personally, i’d like to see Hernanes in the Premier League ….. or failing that, the Championship with Nottingham Forest haha

I’m playing Football Manager 2009 and I’m with Dundee United in the 2014/15 season. Dentinho is now 25, and I’m hoping to splash £22.5 million on sealing this player’s signature because my scouts are telling me he’s incredibly talented.
Although the game is fictional, it is fairly accurate, and has predicted some stars of the future.

not very accurate about his age though – Dentinho’s 20 (19/01/89) – he’s good (though has picked up a nasty diving habit recently – but he’s not worth 22.5 million quid – i’d put him in the 6 or 7 million bracket

Dentinho will replace with Roberto Carlos. Carlos is going to Corinthians and Dentinho is moving to Fenerbahçe. And Fenerbahçe ll continue to be a kind of Brasilian & Turkish team : Bilica – Vederson – Cristian -Santos – Alex- Deivid – Dentinho ( From Brasil) and also Lugano is not far away (From Uruguay) and Guiza also can speaks similar language (Spain)…

And Turkish Stars: Volkan – Gokhan – Emre – Kazim – Mehmet Topuz – Özer – Semih; plus Tuncay (From Stoke City) and Hamit (From B.Munich)
