The French Football Federation have just announced that they will play Brazil in a friendly in the Stade de France on 9th February 2011.

The Europeans have come out on top in recent meetings. In 1986, France knocked out Brazil in the quarter-finals in the World Cup in Mexico. 12 years later, a team marshalled by Zinedine Zidane beat Brazil in the final in France. And, in 2006 in Germany, the French saw off the South Americans in the quarter-finals.
