West Ham to bid for Neymar

West ham United are reported to have offered £16 million (€20 million) to Santos for their teenage forward, Neymar. The 18-year-old is one of the most hyped players in Brazil and this year has shown signs of living up to his vast potential. But according to Brazil’s Globoesporte.com, the move to the Hammers may only be a stepping stone to a more permanent transfer to Chelsea, which could take place as early as the end of the year.
Like so many Brazilian players, Neymar is part owned by his club Santos and part owned by an investment group. The Vila Belmiro club have 60% of the youngster’s economic rights while DIS own the remainder.
