Flamengo’s 16-year-old forward Adryan Oliveira Tavares, who is currently on duty with Brazil’s Under17s in Ecuador, is rumoured to be arousing the interest of Manchester United.
Fla have priced the teenager at €13 million for foreign clubs but only €900,000 if he moves within Brazil. In Brazilian law, the player’s buyout is based on his salary. Hence the relatively low price.
This low fee has Flamengo worried that the player could be bought by one of their rivals and then sold abroad for a huge profit. The forward signed a three year contract with the Rio side in September last year and according to his agent, Reinaldo Pitta, there is no chance that Adryan will leave Flamengo for another club in Brazil.
