Brazil’s poor form on the international stage has prompted the Brazilian Football Confederation to arrange some ‘winnable’ games for the Seleção.
First up will be Egypt in Cairo on September 6th. Brazil then take on Argentina on the 14th and 18th of September (only players based in Brazil will be called up for these games).
The South Americans then have a date away to Costa Rica on October 7th, followed by a trip to Torreón to face México four days later.
Brazil will then be in Gabon on November 11th followed by a match with either Switzerland or England on the 15th.
The matches that had been arranged between Italy and Spain have been put back to 2012.
In his first year in charge of Brazil, coach Mano Menezes has yet to beat a side that may challenge his team in the World Cup in 2014. The South Americans have lost to France, Argentina and Germany and have drawn with the Netherlands. Brazil also failed to perform in the Copa America in July going out to Paraguay on penalties in the quarter-finals.
