Henrique move to Queens Park Rangers still a possibility

São Paulo director, João Paulo de Jesus Lopes, says that the door has not been shut on forward Henrique’s transfer to QPR. The Morumbi club say that contrary to earlier reports, Henrique has not been denied a UK work visa. “The truth is the visa wasn’t turned down. The English FA were willing to grant the visa only after the transfer was done … Now the parties will meet again to see if they can reach an agreement” said Lopes.
São Paulo were asking around £400,000 for an initial 18-month loan spell with an option to buy for £5 million at the end of the period.
The 20-year-old finished top scorer in the Under-20 World Cup in 2011 with five goals and was voted best player of the competition. Henrique is back training with São Paulo. But with Luís Fabiano and Fernandinho back to full fitness, plus the recent signings of Jadson and Oswaldo, and the possible arrival of Nilmar from Villarreal, the teenager is well down the pecking order at São Paulo.
