Arsenal are reported to be watching Fluminense’s Wellington Nem. The Premier League club are said to have had a representative in the estádio Engenhão for the Rio side’s 2-0 defeat at home to Boca Juniors in the Libertadores yesterday evening.
The 20-year-old left-footed midfielder is having a good season with Fluminense and has had a hand in half of his club’s goals in 2012. The player impressed during a loan spell at Figueirense last year and was recalled by Flu for this season. Nem is also part of Brazil’s 52-man preliminary squad for the London Olympics.
Arsenal’s scout was also said to be watching 19-year-old attacking midfielder, Manuel Lanzini, who is on loan at Flu from River Plate.
