São Paulo are resisting Manchester United’s bid for their Brazil international midfielder, Lucas Moura, at least for now. United are believed to have offered £23 million (€33) but São Paulo are holding out for around £30 million (€38). Interestingly, São Paulo had set the player’s buyout clause at £67 million (€80).
Currently, Moura’s economic rights are dividing between the player (20%) and São Paulo (80%). But after August 1st, Moura will own 30% and this will obviously affect the amount São Paulo receive from any transfer.
It is also being reported that United’s offer was made six weeks ago and conveyed to the club by Moura’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro. The offer was said to have been valid up to this Friday and United are apparently not willing to increase their bid.
Manchester United fans will be able to see Lucas Moura and the rest of the Brazil squad in action in the London Olympics.

why not double the funds and put in an effort to sign neymar. Can’t believe the resistence that sao paulo have shown. We all know he isn’t worth that sort of money. He does have talent but is a long way from reaching world class status.
