Brazil will cross swords with arch-enemies Argentina on Wednesday in Goiânia in the first of two Superclássico das Américas. Both squads are made up of players currently performing in their own countries (though Argentina’s squad does contain some Brazil-based footballers).
São Paulo’s Luis Fabiano gets his first game since the World Cup finals in 2010. Botafogo right-back, Lucas Marques, and Corinthians left-back, Fábio Santos, make their debuts for the Green and Yellows.
The return leg will be played in Resistencia in Argentina on 3rd October.
