flamengo-marcinho.jpgOn Wednesday, Fluminense went to the top of Group 8 after they scraped a 2×1 away win against Libertad thanks to two strikes from Washington. The Paraguayans squandered a hatful of chances in the second half and remain without a point.

In Group 4, Flamengo ran out 2×0 winners versus Uruguay’s Nacional in the Maracanã. Marcinho (pictured) grabbed both for the Rio outfit.

At altitude, Santos went down to San José of Bolivia. Kléber Pereira gave the boys from the Vila the lead but goals from Cerrutti and Garcia secured the win for the Bolivians. Santos are now 2nd in Group 6.
