On Sunday, SAAD Esporte Clube lost their first game in eleven months when they went down 2×1 at home against França in the Estádio Municipal Leonardo Barbiere in Águas de Lindóia.

Last year’s winners of the first women’s football in Brazil cup – the Copa do Brasil de futebol feminino – were without five first-teamers including goalkeeper Maravilha and centreback Tânia Mara, who are still recovering from knocks picked up on international duty with Brazil against Ghana in March.

SAAD’s last defeat came on 26th May 2007, when they lost 2×1 vs América-SP in the Paulista women’s tournament.
