Brazil vs Argentina June 2008: possible starting line-up

June 18, 2008 at 13:41 1 comment

Tonight, Brazil take on Argentina in Belo Horizonte in the World Cup qualifiers.

Following a string of poor results, Brazil and in particular, coach Dunga, have come in for a great deal of criticism.

A win for Brazil would bring much-needed relief for Dunga. But under the circumstances, a draw against their archenemies might not be bad.

The team has not been confirmed but there is a big possibility that there will be a number of changes from the 2-0 defeat to Paraguay on Sunday. Manchester United’s Anderson is expected to start in place of Josué. Júlio Baptista may come in for Diego, and there is a good chance that Adriano will start as Luís Fabiano drops to the bench.

Júlio César; Maicon, Lúcio, Juan, Gilberto; Gilberto Silva, Mineiro, Anderson, Julio Baptista (Diego), Robinho, Luis Fabiano (Adriano)
