Henrique in a 'because i'm worth it' mood

Dutch team Ajax are ready to fork out 8 million euros for Palmeiras centreback Henrique.

The player has attracted a lot of interest in recent months but this is the first concrete proposal that the Palestra Itália side has received for the 21 year old.

Henrique is owned by the football management group, Traffic. But Palmeiras will receive 20% of the eventual transfer fee.

The centreback was bought from Coritiba earlier this year for around 2.4 million euros and has made a couple of undistinguished appearances for Brazil.

While the Ajax bid is being considered, Palmeiras are confident that Barcelona will top the offer.
