Barcelona sign Henrique

I'm in the money

On Friday, Palmeiras confirmed that their centreback, Henrique, had joined Spanish giants, Barcelona.

The price is believed to be just under 10 million euros, which represents a quick profit on the 2.4 million Palmeiras’ sponsors, Traffic, paid for Henrique when they bought him from Coritiba at the start of the year.

Earlier this week, Palmeiras had received an offer from Ajax. But Barcelona came up with around 2 million euros more.

Palmeiras will receive about 1.5 million euros and Coritiba will get approximately 270,000 euros. The rest will end up in the football management group’s coffers.

Looking forward to seeing this boy play. Have heard good things but its been really strange to see Barcelona buying so many defenders! Although is Alves a defender? I;m not sure!

i’d say that Aves is more of a wingback than a defender.
