Adriano torn between Chelsea and Flamengo

Inter Milan’s out-of-favour striker, Adriano, could be on his way to either Chelsea or Flamengo – at least according to his girlfriend, Joana Machado.

Adriano’s partner told Globoesporte that she believes Adriano wants to go to Chelsea. But because he is ineligible to play in the Champions League, the forward may have to settle for a loan spell with Flamengo. However, Fla president, Marcio Braga, has already said that trying to bring in Adriano will be very difficult for the club.

Inter coach, José Mourinho, is expecting the Brazilian back for training on 2nd January but is more than willing to listen to offers for the player.

The Emperor, as he’s known in Brazil, came up at Fla’s junior teams. But following a series of disciplinary problems in Italy, now appears to be out of coach José Mourinho’s plans.

Adriano had a successful period with São Paulo earlier this year scoring 17 times. He was also recalled by Dunga and Brazil and struck in the recent 6-2 win over Portugal.

But in less than six months in Brazil, the striker was also involved in two early morning car crashes, turned up late for training, got into an altercation with a reporter and was sent off for a ‘head-butting’ incident involving Santos’ Domingos.
