Molina scores for Santos

With a meeting against Colo-Colo in the Libertadores coming up, Palmeiras put out second-string team against relegation-threatened Guarani.

Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s team laboured to create and when they did break through they found Guarani keeper, Douglas, in good form.

But the home side snatched the points thanks to former Guarani midfielder, Deyvid Sacconi, who came off the bench to score the winner. See the goal here. Palmeiras take on Corinthians next Sunday in a game you can see with us.

Corinthians went behind to Fabiano Gadelha’s goal for Marília. Jorge Henrique headed home an equalizer for a share of the points.

Santos managed a rare derby win against São Paulo in the Vila Belmiro. São Paulo’s minds may have been on the upcoming game vs America de Cali in Colombia, but Muricy Ramalho still put out a strong side. The deciding goal came in the first-half when Molina was quick to respond to Roni’s high ball into the area. See the highlights here. Santos are way at Oeste on Saturday and that will be our match – note the 19:10 kick off.

Barueri 2-1 victory ended in-form Portuguesa’s run of nine games unbeaten. On Sunday, Barueri appointed coach, Estavam Soares.

And Noroeste finally picked up their first win of the season after seeing off Santo André 3-2.
