Ronaldo continued his impressive return after injury with a well-taken goal against São Caetano on Wednesday evening.

The forward hit the back of the net early in the second-half after Dentinho’s cross from the right was cleverly dummied by Jorge Henrique leaving an unmarked Ronaldo to sweep the ball past Luís.

The Corinthians number 9 lasted 78 minutes in his first ever game in the estádio Pacaembu and received a standing ovation when he was replaced by Escudero.

Corinthians had to come from behind against bogey side São Caetano after Marcelo Batatais had headed home. André Santos got the equaliser but it was left to Ronaldo to get an emotional winner.

Mano Meneze’s team are now second with 29 points – just one less than Palmeiras.

On Sunday, Corinthians are away to playoff hopefuls Santo André in the estádio Bruno José Daniel and that will be our live game.

Leaders Palmeiras were held 1-1 away at Ituano. Former Palmeiras man, Alex Alfonso, put the home side in front. Lenny drew things level for the travellers. On Saturday, Palmeiras will be in the Palestra Itália as they face Barueri. And you can see that one with us at 4pm local time.

On Thursday, Santos take on Paulista FC while São Paulo clash with Mirassol.
