Libertadores draw sees Brazilian teams clash

The fixtures involving the last 16 teams in the Libertadores will have an all-Brazil confrontation with Palmeiras and Sport Recife locking horns once again.

The two met in the group stage with the São Paulo side coming out on top winning 2-0 win in Recife and drawing 1-1 in the Palestra Itália.

Grêmio will face Peru’s San Martin. São Paulo have been drawn against Mexico’s Chivas. Cruzeiro take on Universidad de Chile.

5th May         Palmeiras x Sport Recife (São Paulo)

6th May         San Martin x Grêmio (Peru)

6th May         Chivas Guadalajara x São Paulo (venue to be decided)

7th May         Universidad de Chile x Cruzeiro (Chile)
