Cruzeiro's Kléber

Cruzeiro striker, Kléber, has claimed that Liverpool have out in a bid for his services. “I have a proposal from Liverpool for 7 million euros. We are analysing [it]” said the striker on SporTV’s Arena programme in Brazil.

The forward was recently signed by Cruzeiro in swap deal with Guilherme who moved to Dynamo Kiev. Cruzeiro also received 5 million euros from the Ukraine club.

Kléber is on a five-year contract at the Belo Horizonte side and it seems would prefer to stay in Brazil. “I want to stay. If Cruzeiro offer the same amount, or we talk, I’d prefer to stay. But we haven’t talked yet”.

The volatile frontman has scored a stack of goals for Cruzeiro this season and earlier this year was linked with a move to Everton.

i can understand from Kléber’s comments why you think he’s using Liverpool to try to get more cash from Cruzeiro. but he’s not a bad player and has plenty of fight in him – too much at times as he gets sent off a lot! if you’re looking for comparisons, i’d say he is something like Tevez as he’s got the same ‘terrier-like qualities’ with a good deal of skill

This kid is very good. He can score. Sign him if you can. Watch Brasilian futebol on GOL TV. English futebol is different than Brasilian. It will take some time for him to fit in. Watch out this kid can score. Bobby Gee. Check out my blog http://bobbygee.wordpress.com/

The problem with any non-EU player is always whether they will qualify for a work permit. As Kléber is not an established international he would need to qualify under the “exceptional talent” clause. Anybody think he’s that exceptional?
