Kaká alongside Dunga

Kaká alongside Dunga

Brazil face hosts South Africa on Thursday to see who will take on the USA in the finals of the Confederations Cup.

The confrontation will be an intriguing one for the two Brazilian coaches. Back in 1987, South Africa’s, Joel Santana, was just starting his managerial career at Rio de Janeiro’s, Vasco da Gama. In the side was a young defensive midfielder called Dunga.

The only real doubt for Brazil is who will replace injured centreback, Juan, is out of the competition because of a muscle injury.

Dunga won’t reveal his decision until shortly before kick off but may opt for São Paulo’s Miranda who should be able to cope with the pace of the South Africans better than the rather ponderous Luisão.

Brazil (probable): Júlio César, Maicon, Lúcio, Miranda (Luisão), André Santos, Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, Ramires, Kaká, Luís Fabiano, Robinho

Date: 25 June 2009

Venue: Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg

Kick off: 15:30 (Brasilia) 19:30 (London)

Shocked abt Spain.the US gave them a fright & the spanish just could not recover.i think spain take too much time to get to the opposition box whereas Brazil launch their counter attacks at gr8 speed catching their opponents off guard.Brazil will have to be careful with the USA. S.Africa should be beatable.
