On Sunday, Holders Brazil take on the USA in the final of the Confederations Cup in the Ellis Park stadium in Johannesburg.
Brazil have won the competition twice (97 and 2005) and a third win would make them the most successful side in the tournament’s brief history.
A victory would also give Dunga his second success with Brazil. The coach led his side to glory in the 2007 Copa America.
The USA are complete underdogs and have already been beaten by Brazil 3-0 in the Group stage. But a shock 2-0 win over competition favourites, Spain, has Bob Bradley’s men believing that anything is possible.
“South Africa did a good job against Brazil, they closed down the space for Kaká and Robinho and didn’t let them play”, said Bradley.
Both sides are expected to field the starting eleven that saw them through the semi-finals.
Brazil (probable): Júlio César, Maicon, Lúcio, Luisão, André Santos, Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, Ramires, Kaká, Robinho, Luís Fabiano

Well done Brasil but I was disappointed with the overall performance. I think the US team tired quickly after Fabiano got the first one and then they just couldn’t get themselves back into the game. Brazil then stepped up the pace and the US were then hanging on. It was inevitable that Brasil would go on to win as the US simply ran out of ideas and Brasil’s greater experience at winning tournaments told.

Congratulations the selecao! Great tournament for Luis fabiano proved that hes one of the best around.
Think Dunga needs alot more to win the world cup next year, the football wasnt great at times through the tournament most impressive beating a slow ageing Italy 3-0 was hoping to see some more of pato in a brasil shirt or nilmar question marks over some squad selections notably kleber, andre santos, kleberson.Expected more from Ramires as I had read all the hype about him but was let down.Still lots of positives and a cup win!
Is it true jon that back in brazil the fans are not happy with the way they have played at times and dunga’s negativity having read that here in england.

Daniel
Dunga has come in for a lot of stick since he took charge really. There was a period a while back when he and the whole team were actually booed on a regular basis when they played in Brazil. But his team have just put together a great run, beating some difficult sides in the WC qualifiers and winning the Confederations Cup – so, there’s not much the fans can complain about.
More recently there has been a lot of criticism about his team choices: in particular sticking with Kléber and Gilberto. For now everything’s fine because Brazil keep winning. But should that change, the knives will be out for Dunga again
