Brazil play their final match in the WC qualifiers tonight in the estádio Morenão in Campo Grande. Gilberto Silva, Kaká and Luis Fabiano, who were rested for Sunday’s loss against Bolivia, all return. Daniel Alves and Josué are suspended. So, Dunga has brought in Liverpool midfielder, Lucas. Asked about his chances of making it to South Africa Lucas said: “I think we have to take it step by step …. We know that a lot of things can happen before May [when the WC squads are announced] such as injuries or players losing form. Everybody is anxious. Brazil has 50 or 60 players that could make the list [but only 23 will go]”. The Liverpool player was born in the region in a city called Dourados in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and his entire family will be there in the stadium this evening.
Brazil want to finish the group as leaders and to do so have to get a better result than Paraguay and Chile in their final game.
