Shakhtar Donetsk could be about to move in on Grêmio’s Douglas Costa. The 19-year-old midfielder has been connected with a switch to Manchester United for over a season but Shakhtar may be prepared to meet Grêmio’s valuation of around €7 million for the teenager. Grêmio president Duda Kroeff said: “We’ve got high hopes for Douglas this year …. He finished last season well and was scoring goals. We’ll do what we can to keep him. I don’t like selling young players. [But] his manager has spoken to Shakhtar Donetsk ….. though there’s nothing on paper”.
