Manchester United in for Miranda?
Manchester United could be interested in taking São Paulo defender Miranda. According to British tabloid The Daily Mail, Sir Alex Ferguson is planning something of a clear out at the club and the Brazil centreback could figure in the coach’s plans.
Last season, Miranda was linked with a move to Spurs but the London club failed to meet São Paulo’s valuation of the 25-year-old. Tottenham’s offer of around £7 million was said to have been laughed off by the Brazilian club’s management.
São Paulo have recently signed two central defenders and this has fuelled speculation that Miranda and teammate, André Dias, could soon be on their way. As yet, no one at São Paulo has commented on a possible move to England. However, Miranda has made it clear on more than one occasion that he feels he is ready to leave the Morumbi outfit for a new challenge.
