Are Fenerbahçe about to move for Dentinho?

More of Brazil’s rising stars can be seen here in FootBrazil’s Brazil: the talent factory 2009 video

News  coming from Turkey suggests that Corinthians man, Dentinho, could be on his way to Istanbul.

Rumour has it that Fenerbahçe representatives are in Brazil  to negotiate a possible move for the player to Europe.

Dentinho, whose real name is Bruno Ferreira Bonfim, turns 21 in two days. The 1.75m player has been in the Parque São Jorge first team since 2007. But with forwards Ronaldo, Iarley, Souza and attacking midfielder Defederico, on the books at the Musketeers, Dentinho’s first team chances may be limited this season and this might be the right time for a move abroad.

Last year, the Turkish club signed Christian and André Santos from Corinthians. After a promising start, Santos’ form has nose-dived and some gutless performances have irritated the Turkish club and their passionate fans.

If the rumours of a possible move do turn out to be true, Dentinho will need to be 100% certain he wants to make the switch and will have to be fully committed to Fenerbahçe and their demanding fans.

Dentinho should be in Corinthians’ squad for their opener in the Campeonato Paulista this afternoon. The game vs Monte Azul kicks off at 17:00 local time and you can see it with us on Brazilian football.

as a fenerbahce fan, i just wonder where he plays definetely?
because we lack of left-winger nowadays.
could he play as a left winger, in front of andre santos?
    how about his football style?

one more question? could you give an information about your another player who is Defederico? =)

    by the way corinthians FTW!

on sunday, Dentinho was operating on the left hand flank and down the centre. but he’s not what you would call a winger and i don’t think he would move to a club that would play him in that position.

Defederico is an Argentine attacking midfielder who was brought in from Huracán last season. he took a bit of time to settle in but played some good games for Corinthians at the end of last year

i am disappointed at the moment, because our teaml need left winger…

take a look at this video from late last year. it was the three nominations for best left back – Júlio César won it and i think that was the right choice. he’s since left Goiás for Fluminense but that doesn’t mean a move to Europe is off.,,GIM1171118-7824-PREMIO+CRAQUE+DO+BRASILEIRAO+CANDIDATOS+A+MELHOR+LATERALESQUERDO,00.html

when i said “left winger”, i meant like Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Eduardo… whom plays offensive

it seems Brasilian football is different then European football… 🙂

in brazil, there are players called ‘lateral-direitos’ or ‘lateral-esquerdos’ which means right and left (wing) backs respectively. These players are not normally the defensive type players that you would associate with the position in Europe. These players are more like wingers but they probably tend to sit a little deeper. There’s also something called an ‘Ala’ which roughly translates as a midfielder who operates on the flank – but the term is a bit vague.
As for any out-and-out leftwingers currently in Brazil, I can’t think of anyone really good who comes to mind – I liked Everton Cardoso da Silva but he’s just left Flamengo for Tigres of Mexico – he’s probably the type of player you mean

Dentinho is a FRLC as i see. In Turkey defensive qualities also are also expected from an attacking winger. Game is mainly based on physical condition. It seems like Dentinho can’t be our new Tuncay Sanli, but he is a top quality player surely.

Are there any news on Globo newspaper? Or our media is just telling lies again? 🙂

I’m a bit hopeless about this transfer. There must have been some Brazilian news about it already. Am i wrong?

the only thing i’ve seen here in Brazil is a web site reporting what has been said in the newspapers in Turkey. the report also mentioned that if Fenerbahçe fail to get Dentinho, they’ll go for Gustavo Nery (which would be a huge mistake!!!!)

    How is Maicón in fluminense?
Can he also play on the left?

who is better? Maicón or Dentinho? 🙂

  • 16. ridvan  |  January 21, 2010 at 11:43

I thınk he ls good player and he will be allright for fenerbahce, because fenerbahce is playing in europe and has got many brazillian footballer. This definitely will help dentinho be more known, I guess…
