Paulo Henrique Ganso set to snub Manchester City

Thumbs up from Ganso but not for Manchester City
Santos players Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso could end up as part of the deal that brings Robinho back to the Vila Belmiro. But midfielder Paulo Henrique has already said that he’s not keen on heading to northwest England. “I don’t want to play for Manchester City. I’d prefer to play for a big club in Europe such as Milan [presumably AC], Real Madrid or Barcelona” said the 20-year-old to Globo Esporte.
Ganso (which means goose – his real surname is Lima) made his breakthrough with Santos and Brazil’s Under 20s last season. The player’s attitude to a possible move to Manchester reflects the image problem that City have in Brazil where interest is generally confined to the ‘big four’ in the Premier League. Ganso, however, could be forgiven for having only a passing knowledge of the rich history and traditions of a club that hasn’t won anything for 33 years. Clearly, City have an image problem when it comes to attracting Brazilians who have not yet played in Europe. But with the investment at Eastlands, that will change. Before too long, the likes of Ganso are unlikely to have such a negative attitude towards City.

this just shows the poor attitude of brazilian players. they only want to play for established top four sides as they just do not have the character to fight for a champions league spot, i think robinho has shown us this.
as a man city fan and season ticket holder i personally dont want any more lazy brazilians at my beloved club they think they are better than they really are and seem to demand respect for the achievments other brazilian players have earned in the past.
well i have news for you all, you earn your own respect in this life you lazy gutless wonders, stop trying to ride on the success of others.

As a Brazilian, I would be more than happy if City stopped begging for Brazilian players. They really don’t like playing there. See how Robinho is happy in Santos. Stop taking our best players away so we they can keep playing well to kick everyone else’s butt in the World Cup!!!

Sylvinho is a credit to his country but after Robinho, Elano and Jo I’d be quite happy if we never signed another Brazillian.

Clearly Simon is a Manchester united fan. United fear of Manchester City is so great that they pose as City supporters and then they disrespect the great footballing traditions of a fantastic football nation like Brasil.
The proof of City’s love of Brazilian players is shown by how much they love Sylvinho and Robinho. All Brazilian players are gifted technically and have great skill. Manchester city would love more of these players.
As a real Manchesater City supporter I apologies for the disrespectful and insulting comments made by the united fan Simon O Brian who thinks it is clever to pretend to be a City supporter.
He hopes to stop players from Brazil playing for City because City are becoming a better team than his.
Long live Brazilian Football !

Kaka? . No foreign player works hard here at City. Reputation. Samaras was a lazy *** here and at Celtic(supposedly a big club) he is working. Robinho was great at Real(big club) Jo and Elano, both in National side think they are too good for us. Meanwhile Bellamy(came from a smaller club, but has played for Liverpool etc,) is NOT foreign but works his socks off. Same with SWP(played for Chelsea still works hard), Richards, Bridge and others. Only exception is Carlos Tevez. Do NOT mention Vieira….

We will mention whoever we want to Jake these pages don’t belong to Manchester united. Have you forgotten Georgie Kinkladze. Did he come from the green and pleasant pastures of England? No.
And there was Sylvan Distin, Nicolas Anelke, Shaun Goater, Bert Trautmann, Uwe Rosler.
You united fans need to work harder on your facts you’re an embarrassment.

As a Liverpool fan I am surprised that these Brazillians only take notice of The Big Four as well as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, this just shows that the smaller clubs need to work even harder to pursuade these young guys to join them first and actually play football where as if they joined say like Man Utd or Chelsea then they would play no games at all and their talents would be ruined, perhaps Man City will be able to sign good Brazillian Players if they linked up with a club say like Gremio where Douglas Costa plays or Corinthians where Tevez and Mascherano used to play

Oh, and Douglas Costa is not in Grêmio anymore, he is in Ukraine now
I think all brazilians would agree that man city is not big enough for a player like Ganso..if he is to develop his talent before going to a big european club, then he should do it here in Brazil, like Robinho, Kaká and Ronaldinho did

I must admit one other thing @ blue_heart, players like Goater, Distin, Anelka, Berkovic indeed did help make Man City the club that it is today because they played so well during then and to be honest without them guys as well as other Man City Greats such as Ali Benarbia and Darren Huckerby then Man City would properbly not have those rich Arab guys as owners and Man City would propably be fighting Relegation

I think you will find Milan only ever means the men in red and black, as they are almost always referred to in Italy.
The other team in town is Internazionale (di Milano). Nobody but the Brits ever refer to ‘Inter Milan’. Although, Inter are currently the better team.

All the teams mentioned are ALWAYS after any player that makes headlines. It has became a type of celebrity contest :”You are becoming famous, oh, I know you, and I like you”. There is a big difference between these “teams” claiming their interest to hike the price (Most often, these player’s managers claim that interest, not the teams) and serious interest of clubs who send people to watch and engage (Lyon, Sevilla for sure…). Man city is the Brittish Real Madrid or Inter Milan, they are always interested in everybody that seems to be having a good season.
