Manchester City tell Robinho to get more bodyguards
Manchester City have insisted that their on-loan star, Robinho, is surrounded by bodyguards during his stay in Brazil.
The Premier League club are concerned that their most expensive player ever could be at risk during his six-month spell back at Santos.
Robinho already had five bodyguards protecting him and his family but City demanded he recruited three more.
“There are eight people taking care of Robinho’s people here. We already had five, but City asked for three more. None of Robinho’s family will be left without protection,” said Evandro Souza who is in charge of organizing the staff that work for the player.
In 2004, Robinho’s mother, Marina da Silva Souza, was kidnapped for nearly a month and the incident contributed to the forward’s decision to leave Santos for Real Madrid.
