São Paulo FC have unearthed another gem in Lucas da Silva. The attacking midfielder is one in a long line of talented players to come out of the Morumbi. Nicknamed Marcelinho when he started his career with the Tricolor, the player switched back to his real name of Lucas early last month. Will he be as good as Kaká and Hernanes? Only time will tell. But São Paulo have high hopes for their speedy teenager.  Watch our interview with the teenager recorded in September this year.
Full name: Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva; Position: midfielder; DOB: 13/08/92; Height: 1.72m; Weight: 66kg; Clubs: Corinthians juniors, São Paulo
I first wrote about Lucas Moura in September last year alongside six other young Brazilian stars in the making here in Brazil: the talent factory 2010

Liverpool fans – Moura’s buyout clause is 80 million euros. but it’s become common nowadays for Brazilian clubs to put a highly inflated price tag on the players they think will one day move to Europe. São Paulo don’t expect anyone will pay that kind of money for him but they would still want a substantial fee for the teenager.
