Santos slap €50 million price tag on teenager Gabriel Barbosa

Santos have given 16-year-old junior team player, Gabriel Barbosa, a three-year contract with a buyout fee of €50 million. The Vila Belmiro club own 60% of the forward’s economic rights with an option to buy the remainder. Barbosa was Santos’ top scorer in the Campeonato Paulista Under-17s with nine goals and despite not having appeared for the professional side, already has a contract with Nike.
