Luis Felipe Scolari has announced his 23 man squad for the Confederations Cup, which kicks off when Brazil take on Japan in Brasília 15th June. Before then, the seleção will play friendlies against England in Rio June 2nd and France in Porto Alegre 9th June. The biggest surprise is that the in-form Ronaldinho is not on the list. Chelsea’s Ramires is also out.

Brazil’s second fixture in the Confederations Cup sees them face Mexico in Fortaleza 19th June. The host’s final group phase match is against Italy in Salvador 22nd June.

Brazil squad in full:

Keepers: Julio César (QPR), Jefferson (Botafogo), Diego Cavalieri (Fluminense)
Wingback: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Jean (Fluminense), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Filipe Luis (Atlético Madrid)
Centrebacks: Thiago Silva (PSG), Réver (Atlético-MG), David Luiz (Chelsea), Dante (Bayern Munich)
Midfielders: Fernando (Grêmio), Hernanes (Lazio), Luiz Gustavo (Bayern Munich), Paulinho (Corinthians), Jadson (São Paulo), Oscar (Chelsea), Lucas Moura (PSG)
Forwards: Hulk (Zenit), Bernard (Atlético-MG), Leandro Damião (Internacional) injured – replaced by Jô (Atlético Mineiro), Fred (Fluminense), Neymar (Santos)

    You might peek at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create news headlines to get viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to grab readers excited about everything’ve got to say.
