Santos’ much-coveted striker, Neymar, scored first professional goal for Santos in his first start for the club.
The goal came in the 3-0 win against Mogi Mirim in the Vila Belmiro on Sunday. See why everyone’s talking about this talented 17-year-old as he goes to work on Mogi. Paulo Henrique and Roni grabbed the other goals for the Vila Belmiro side.
Neymar is hoping to keep his place in the startling line-up away to Ronaldo’s Corinthians next Sunday. Our cameras will be there to catch all the action.
Leaders Palmeiras found it hard going versus a Barueri side that had won their last three outings. Keirrison squandered several opportunities before he got the breakthrough goal in the second-half. The strike brought his tally to ten in the Paulista. Diego Souza and Pierre added two more. See the highlights here. Palmeiras travel to Guaratinguetá and that will be our live match at 19:10 on Saturday.
Corinthians showed just how limited a side they are when they were held to a 0-0 draw away to Santo André. Coach Mano Menezes decided to rest the chunky forward in preparation for the derby vs Santos.
São Paulo had no such problems against Marília. Hernanes, who has been dropped by coach Dunga for Brazil’s upcoming WC qualifiers, scored an absolute cracker and you have to wonder if Dunga really knows what he’s doing. Washington grabbed a brace and is now the competition’s second top scorer with nine. See the goals here
