Mano Menezes looking for success before the Copa America

Mano Menezes has called up 28 players for the friendly internationals versus the Netherlands on June 4th and Romania 3 days later.
The Brazilians will take on Romania in the estádio Pacaembu in São Paulo. The Netherlands match will be in the city of Goiânia and the estádio Serra Dourada.
The squad includes the Premier League’s David Luiz (Chelsea), Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Ramires (Chelsea), Sandro Ranieri (Tottenham), Henrique and Anderson (Manchester United). Fluminense’s midfielder Thiago Neves and forward Fred get call ups and Cruzeiro’s in-form keeper, Fábio is also in. AC Milan’s Robinho makes a return.
Mano Menezes said that he will whittle the squad down to 22 shortly before Brazil head off to Argentina. The coach also stated that apart from the possibility of bringing in Paulo Henrique Ganso (who is recovering from injury), there will be no new players in the squad. That means no place for the likes of Kaká, Hulk and Hernanes.

Ronaldo is expected to get a run out in the first-half in the game against Romania. The former Brazil great will get his chance to say his goodbyes but is unlikely to play for more than a few minutes.

The friendlies are part of Brazil’s build up for the Copa America that kicks off in July in Argentina.
Brazil squad in full:
Keepers: Julio César (Inter Milan), Jefferson (Botafogo), Victor (Grêmio), Fábio (Cruzeiro)
Wing backs: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Inter Milan), André Santos (Fenerbahçe), Adriano (Barcelona)
Central defenders: Lúcio (Inter Milan), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), David Luiz (Chelsea), Luisão (Benfica), Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Ramires (Chelsea), Sandro Ranieri (Tottenham), Henrique (Cruzeiro), Anderson (Manchester United), Elano (Santos), Elias (Atlético Madrid), Lucas Moura (São Paulo), Thiago Neves (Flamengo), Jadson (Shakhtar Donetsk)
Forwards: Robinho (AC Milan), Neymar (Santos), Alexandre Pato (Milan), Nilmar (Villarreal), Leandro Damião (Internacional), Fred (Fluminense)

Why?? Why?? I keep asking myself why after Mano announced his list.
No Hulk!? Are you blind Mano!? Hulk is the best Brazilian player at the moment.
No Hernanes!? Based on his good performance in Lazio he deserved another chance.
4 goalkeepers!? What are you trying to do Mano!?
Why don’t you give a space to HULK!?

Why waiting for Ganso?? He just played one good game versus USA. Hernanes and Hulk played the whole good season with their respective club. Yes! Ganso is young and talented. But he not yet the saviour. Why don’y give a chance to players who are in extreme good form.

Players who have been left out?

    1. LEFT BACK POSITION: Why is LUIZ GUSTAVO of Bayern Munich Left out? He is the BEST option for the left back position.

    2. CENTRAL DEFENDER: DEDE of Vasco da Gama has been left out. He is the best central defender in the brasilero. He is 22 years, 6′ 4” height and is excellent both in the air and with his feet. In my opinion he is the star central defender of the future. It is time to include him in the squad. Lucio is 32 yrs of age and will not be around during WC 2014. It is time to give DEDE a cap!!!!!

    3. WINGER, STRIKER: HULK is in excellent form. Why has he not been selected?

Dede should start to get the attention of the clubs. I think he will be an excellent defender and will take Lucio’s place in 2014!!
Gustavo has shown a brilliant season with Bayern, those who doesn’t watch Budnesliga, remember his games vs Inter Milan and how he replaced Van Bommel quickly.
As for Hulk, everyone knows how talented and amazing player he is, people don’t need my personal description of this player.
So please, Mano, think of World Cup 2014, we need this Cup BADLY!!!

Manchester United’s Anderson is a player who does not deserve to play in the Brazil National team given the pack of good players around. I personally think that Robinho should work on his strength as football needs both skill and strength to produce good results.

Anderson doesn’t deserve to be in the squad; he hardly ever starts at Manchester United. Hernanes or Renato Augusto would have been better choices.

Coming off a serious injury he has played 30 games and has been playing into some great form…..he offers far more than Lucas Leiva or Sandro (who has played how many games this season at Spurs? 😉

how can u leave hulk and hernanes. Hernanes should be their instead of lucas of sao paulo he’s only 18 and and plays in a low league while argentina have pysical holding midfielders like mascherano and cambiasso the best DM in the world and in a a tournament like the copa america! it would make sense if it was the olympics bcuz thats 4 u23 but this is bigger. And hulk should be there instead of pato because he’s injured and look at the form hulk is in.You say that u leave out kaka because he’s not fully fit but look how he’s recovered and that was ages ago but u let in pato and ganso who were only injured recently!!!
