PSG move for Manchester United target Lucas Moura – deal imminent

Reports in Globoesporte on Sunday evening claim that Lucas Moura is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain. The fee has not been disclosed but has been agreed with São Paulo. Moura’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, declared that a five-year deal was in place and that the player had only to pass a medical and sign the contract. However, it is understood that the formalities will only be carried out after Brazil’s friendly international versus Sweden in Stockholm on August 15th.
The news that the midfielder is close to signing for PSG has come as a major surprise. This weekend it was being widely reported that Moura would soon be undergoing a medical at Manchester United. Now it seems the Brazil international could be on his way to Paris.
The article on Globoesporte’s site also claimed that it was the player’s choice to opt for PSG. Moura it is alleged, did not want to live in Manchester – a city described as “chata” (which can be translated as boring or dull in this context) by some (unnamed) players who live there. This, if correct, is likely to upset United’s fans as it flies in the face of reports last week stating Moura and his parents had their hearts set on joining the club.
Former Brazil international and São Paulo player, Leonardo, is director of football at PSG and it is thought that his links with São Paulo president Juvenal Juvêncio and Wagner Ribeiro played a big part in luring the player to France.
Moura’s official move, however, may be delayed until January next year as the midfielder does not have a European passport and PSG already have their full quota of non-European players.

what B.S is this? anyway a player who cannot make it to the first team of under 23 can be no good. Fergie wanted him not because qhat he has but what he could make him. Look at walcott, would not sign fr united and now there is a talk of returning to his old club. Good luck B.S maura

it is very sad for telling us dat the boy will sign for PSG, A club with no history as compered with manchester united.we are all praying that man u will be able to seek through this deal.u can be like RONALDO which now have a history at man u, lucas if u can listen man u is the club for u . As far as I am concerned, this is just one of those stories… 2 pints:The source is very questionable (sore loser!); PSG are already over their Qtr for non-european players … lets be patient to read from Sao Paulo OR form THE club.
